Nova Scotia...Peggy's Cove and the end of the journey

All too soon our journey was ending.  It's amazing how quickly the time goes when visiting new and exciting places with good friends.  But we still had another stop and the day couldn't have been better for visiting Peggy's Cove.

Bright blue skies greeted us as we explored this remarkable village.  There's nothing more I can say than what the photos show.  It was lovely!

We have traveled far and wide but our Nova Scotia trip ended up being one of the most unexpectedly amazing and beautiful places that we've been to.  The residents every where we went were the nicest folks and seemed to really enjoy and appreciate the fact that we chose to visit them.  Beautiful scenery, uncrowded, nice people...we will definitely go back!

                        Until next time...

  2. I love looking a travel pictures, and these are great! We plan on travelling the East coast within the next few years. We've gone all up down Canada's west coast, and we live in the prairies, Saskatchewan to be exact, but I've never been further East than Quebec. I really can hardly wait to start planning that trip and your pictures give me more to look forward to.

  3. Hi Terri. So good to see you today at my post and thanks for the nudge to finish reading about your Maritimes trip.
I am happy you liked Peggy's Cove and that you had a sunny day there. It can be quite the spot on a stormy day.....but very dangerous too. I love the white granite rock that is everywhere along that part of the shore.....looks like a 'moonscape' just before you enter the village.

I am beaming with pride by your comments about Nova Scotia. We love it here. I am so happy my G-G Grandfather chose it back in the mid 1800's as a place to settle........he was from France.

I did hear that you guys a freezing in Florida! Go figure! Doesn't make sense!
Hoping it will warm up for you.

    1. Hi Jim,

It's been fun sharing this trip with you, especially since you know exactly what and where I'm talking about. There was so very much more that I just didn't have time to share, but will cherish the memories.

It's awesome that your history there reaches so far back and that you know it. I've wondered if that's why some folks continue to stay rather than retire to warmer (sometimes) climates. Seems ancestry can create strong ties in many ways.

I will look forward to reading your future posts and add to my list for the next trip to Nova Scotia!

Keep warm. it's still chilly here:-)
