Sarah's Simple Tunic is Finished!

I am so happy to reveal my latest completed knitting project!

This lovely baby tunic pattern was shared by my friend
Una at Great Bags of Wool
and I thought I'd give it a try.

Well, my knitting expertise is limited, so I ended up making this little top three times,
ripping it out and trying again and again,
until Una came to my rescue and I actually finished it!

As soon as it was blocked I took it to my daughter's house to see if it
would fit.

My little granddaughter is never thrilled to have her clothes changed.

I was just happy it fit over her head.

But she thought about it for a moment

and although reluctantly at first, decided maybe it was ok.

After everyone told her how pretty it looked on her

she was happy!

Now if I can figure out how to make it in the next size....

Until next time~

  1. That's lovely. Thanks for taking the photos. It's great to see it being modelled. It's funny how young babies can still notice what they are wearing. My daughter was only a few months old when she began to pull faces if I approached her with clothing she didn't like. Memories!

  2. She looks adorable in it, great job.

  3. My grandsons weren't thrilled a the dressing and undressing stages wither! The tunic is sweet and bub is so cute!

  4. that is AAAdorable, the tunic and the baby, especially the baby.

  5. So cute! You did a great job :) And what a sequence of faces!

  6. Your little tunic is lovely and your grand-daughter is beautiful!

  7. Awwww what a cutie!! The beautiful tunic suits her very well :)
