It's a Wrap!

It's been a while since I've posted anything, but that's not because I've been goofing off.
Well...maybe from blogging, but not from knitting and basket making.

As you can see, I  f i n a l l y  finished this most beautiful wrap!

This has taken a bit longer than expected to complete.  Not because it's hard, but because it's hot.
I wanted a nice, long wrap to keep warm in,
but the longer it became, the warmer I became
while working on it.
Definately not a summer project!

Wish you could feel how soft this is.  I used two yarns together and just knitted.
Choosing the yarn is the hardest, but also the best part.
So many choices....
I wear a lot of blues and browns, so since this is for me, the selection was narrowed.

It's really long, about 64" plus the fringe. And did I mention how soft it is.

I wanted to add some bling to the fringe and went a little crazy adding an assortment of complimentary yarns to the mix.  The stash came in handy for this. I love playing with the soft fringe.

So now the problem is wearing it before the summer heat arrives.

Although it would feel awefully nice in a freezing cold air conditioned restaurant this summer.
Hum....

Until next time ~

Terri

    1. It's staying cold here this spring as well. But it does extend the "wrap wearing" season a bit :-)

You can tell just by looking at it, how soft and luxurious it must be, and the colors are just perfect !

  8. Hello, I replied to your query about the dress pattern on my blog. The reply is after your comment. I would have sent you an email, but my email account is set up on Yahoo and doesn't let me use your "email" button. I hope the reply is ok. Let me know if you need any more information. Best wishes, Una, Great Balls of Wool.

  9. Hey Terri. Good to 'see' you today at my post.
This is one lovely wrap indeed! You will so appreciate it in the fall and winter. It looks very soft.
Yes there is a good yarn shop or two in Halifax. One in particular is in the north end at the Hydrostone Market area.....you'll love the other stores here too.

    1. Thanks so much, Shane! It's actually just garter stitch throughout. I used two strands of yarn, one was Homespun and the other is a wispy eyelash, unfortunately no longer available from Hobby Lobby :-( I'm sure you'd love making it!

      Hugs,
      Terri
